A squash tournament has been organised in honor of the late Senior Police Officer, Maria Eboma, to sustain her legacy of philanthropy and support for young squash players. The tournament held Sept. 1, at Police College in memory of her posthumous birthday. The Lagos State Government says it will deploy 220 newly acquired compactor trucks to strengthen waste evacuation and improve environmental management across the state. Deputy Governor, Dr Kadri Hamzat, disclosed this on Saturday during the monthly environmental sanitation exercise in Festac, Amuwo-Odofin Local Government Area of Lagos. Programmes The Yoruba Broadcasters Association (YBA) has urged the Lagos State House of Assembly to pass a law requiring all broadcast stations in the state to air regular programmes in Yoruba.
