
LAGOS, Nigeria — A Philanthropist and aspirant at the just concluded All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries Hon. Olalekan Ayinla, has felicitated Muslims and residents of Lagos State on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, urging them to continue to uphold peace, tolerance and harmonious coexistence.
In his goodwill message on Wednesday, Ayinla described Islam as a religion of peace and called on residents to continue to show love and understanding toward one another, irrespective of ethnic, political or religious differences.
He also urged residents to remain law-abiding and vigilant against criminal activities capable of threatening the peace and security of the state.
According to him, peaceful coexistence and collective responsibility are essential to sustaining the growth and development of Lagos State.
“I congratulate Muslim faithful and all residents of Lagos State on the celebration of Eid-el-Fitr.
“Islam is a religion of peace, and I urge everyone to continue to live in peace, tolerate one another and promote unity in our communities.
“We must also remain vigilant and avoid all forms of crime and criminality that can disrupt the peace of our dear state,” he said.
Ayinla further encouraged residents to remain committed to their civic responsibilities, especially ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He urged eligible voters to participate actively in the democratic process by exercising their right to vote when the time comes.
“Democracy thrives when citizens participate actively.
“I encourage Lagos residents to fulfil their civic duties and come out to vote during the 2027 elections,” he added.
